To practice a bit with Unreal Engine 5, decided to create a scene about my best friend. Set in the woods of Massachusetts, a stone statue of a Shiba Inu is found just outside of a forest clearing.
For this, I generated the ground materials and sculpted the Shiba statue. A portion of this was to learn about setting up outdoor scenes as well, so for that I sourced Quixel megascans of grass as well as rocks and some tree stumps. The majority of trees and plants come from a scanned asset pack of the Northeastern US.
The ground textures were made in Quixel Mixer.
The Shiba Statue was sculpted using both blender and Zbrush, and materials were created using Substance Painter.
